Baidu unveiled another smart device called Baidu Kuaiso, or Baidu Chopstick Search in addition to BaiduEye at Baidu World 2014 conference. It can detect harmful health cooking oil and tell the difference between Fuji apple and Gala apple.
Baidu Kuaiso has two parts: chopsticks and chopstick holder with four colors: red, blue, black and white. The chopsticks are integrated with various sensors to achieve a series of measurements of physical indicators including water pH, temperature, salinity and oil quality, which are transmitted to smartphones via bluetooth and shown at the bottom of the chopsticks on LED lights. Blue light will show “pass” resut and “red” LED light as a warning.
Its main functions as on the current version are: testing the quality of cooking oil, the water PH and fruit sweetness with variety and origin data. More functions will be developed in future updates.
