Weibo.com (or Sina Weibo) announced a new mobile ad format for advertisers. This new type of ad is displayed in full screen format when users launch the apps, lasting for three seconds and displaying no more than once per day on each unique visitor’s device.
Sina Weibo is the second social mobile app in China in terms of effective usage time according to iResearch, following Wechat, who also claims that the total number of daily active users of Sina Weibo exceeds the combined total of top five mobile news apps: Top News, Tencent News, iFeng, Netease News and Sohu News.
Sina Weibo now has close to 150 million monthly active users; its daily active users has reached 70 million.
