Tencent’s Wechat team is internal testing Wechat Advertising Platform, connecting Wechat Official Accounts with advertisers.
Both enterprise and personal public accounts can apply to be a publisher and as long as permitted, publisher can see total number of impressions, clicks and revenue. They can also pause ads and block certain advertisers.
According to official data, Wechat has over two million public accounts with daily growth of over 8,000 new ones.
