According to Umeng, a localized Chinese mobile app analysis group offering analytical tools and services to app developers, China active mobile devices grew from 245 million in Q2 to 590 million in Q3 2013. Besides, the new mobile devices from January to September reached 450 million, which means the most active devices were new devices.
From 2012 to 2013, average daily using time of finance, business, education and healthcare apps increase rate ranked top 10. Finance app increased 147%, followed by business app with 85% and healthcare app with 80%. Highly activeness of mobile devices had affected traditional industries’ transition.
In 2013, mobile users were more likely to play games on mobile devices. In comparison with 2012, average daily playing time increased 66%, and playing frequency grew 50%.
