Based on the market share comparison in the chart above, we can easily see the fluctuation of three major ad forms, search engine ads, vertical search ads and brand graphical ads, respectively.
The share of search engine ads decreased to 36.4% in 2012 Q3, but it still kept its leading place. The market share of vertical search ads continued to climb and reached 20.4% in 2012Q3. Brand graphic ads generally lost its previous charm with the market share down to 28.1%.
Other types of ads have different performance. It is worth mentioning that the market share of video ads increased to 6.9%. To some extends, the popularity of microfilms does draw more advertisers for video ads.
