Recently, Wechat payment is discussing cooperation with some e-commerce websites on importing business and overseas e-commerce including eBay.
Wechat payment has targeted some well-known import e-commerce websites in cross-border online shopping market. Since September 2014, Wechat has been seeking partners and they have been in touch with some cross-border e-commerce websites like Ymatou.com, Miyabaobei.com, Metao.com.
Wechat provide two kinds of service as payment solutions:
- Wechat users can scan the QR code displayed on the website on desktop computers to finish payment.
- Use Wechat payment on mobile apps.
It is said that Wechat code on website launched recently while the latter one is till under development.
Wechat can transfer the corresponding currency into overseas accounts after Chinese shoppers finishing paying Chinese yuan. It is convenient for Chinese shoppers and overseas e-tailers.
Wechat will also deduct 2-5% commissions for providing its payment service on oversea online shopping platforms.And, it requires a certain amount of deposit from e-tailers.
